The story continues of Katy Spring
None of the owners can recall exactly where it happened, but somewhere in a restaurant in the Greater Houston Area, if that's vague enough; James West, Scott Pitney and Mark West discussed the new start-up company Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc.
What should we call it? James asked.
How bout Katy Spring? Scott offered.
And with two nods of agreement, the new spring manufacturing company had a name. Katy Spring was the first official name after the D.B.A. was filed in April of 1999 and would later be changed to Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc. in May of the same year. â
Katy Spring manufacturers large diameter compression springs, automotive compression springs, transmission springs, compression coil springs, and valve compression springs.
