KHM Coiler at Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc.

Katy Spring welcomes the newest addition to our #CNC #coiling family; the KHM #coiler.Due to demand, we purchased two of these machines as this will further increase our production capacity, especially for smaller #wire #springs.With this expansion in our capabilities, Katy Spring can now #coil #wire sizes starting at .006” as shown this video.In addition to the increased wire size capability, this coiler can also run twice as fast as our previous #coilers, in the same #wire-size range.The #spring shown here is running at 40,000 parts per hour…wow!This particular compression spring is used in the medical industry. The KHM can also manufacture extension and torsion springs.
